The Heroes Family Church Okpanam, today, Sunday June 21, 2026, was abuzz with activities marking the celebration of Father’s Day, courtesy of Fostering Hopes Foundation.
The church through its Resident Pastor, Pastor Peter Ogidan commended the Foundation for deeming it necessary to celebrate fathers, would-be-fathers and all the father figures in the church.
He prayed that the Foundation’s barn will never lack grains, declaring that it has always been a thing of joy whenever the Foundation picks up an event to host in the church.
The Leader of the Men’s Fellowship, Deacon Philip Efeibunor also lauded the Foundation for making the day special for all the fathers.
He said, fathers were usually missing out when it comes to celebrating annual events, unlike the mothers whose events are always adequately publicized and made memorable. In addition, he appreciated the organizers for remembering that fathers deserve everyone’s love and care to enable them continue to strive for the family’s wellbeing.
Earlier introducing the occasion within the service, Pastor Ethel Uto who is also the Program Director, Education Opportunities and Early Childhood in Fostering Hopes Foundation, had read out an emotional piece to celebrate every responsible and ever present father in the house.
Master James Enejeta equally celebrated the fathers with a spoken word that depicted the humanitarian efforts of Fostering Hopes Foundation with regards to family survival and protection and development of the child.
It could be recalled that Fostering Hopes Foundation commenced its humanitarian activities from Heroes Family Church, where some vulnerable members benefitted from the first and second empowerment programs of the Foundation.
