At the second edition of the Fostering Hopes Foundation 2026 Children’s Day Party, laughter filled the air, little dreams danced freely, and the innocence of childhood reminded us why every child deserves love, protection, and hope.
But amidst the celebration, we paused to remember the children who could not be with us.
We remembered the innocent children abducted from the school in Oyo State. We remembered every Nigerian child still separated from their families, still trapped in fear, still waiting for freedom, still waiting to come home.
While many children celebrated with gifts, games, and warm embraces, somewhere across our nation, some children remain in captivity; robbed of the safety, joy, and innocence every child deserves.
Children’s day was not only a celebration. It was also a solemn reminder of our collective responsibility.
No child should grow up in fear. No dream should be buried by violence and insecurity.
At Fostering Hopes Foundation, we believe every child matters. Every missing child matters.
We celebrated the beauty and promise of childhood, we also raise our voices for those whose voices have been silenced. We stand with their families. We pray for their safe return. And we renew our commitment to building a society where every child can live, learn, dream, and thrive in peace.
